Welcome to the Employees' section of the site. We hope you will find the site informative and easy to use.

This site provides the key information for people who have recently or are about be become unemployed as a result of a redundancy. In addition to the information on our site, we offer the following services and information:

• 'Know Your Welfare Rights' leaflet aimed specifically at employees who are about to become unemployed as a result of a redundancy
• Copies of our comprehensive publication 'Working for Work' - which explore welfare, work, education and training options for unemployed people
• Access to our telephone (01-8560088) and email (queries@inou.ie) based Welfare to Work query service

This part of the site contains two sections:

• Redundancy Information
• Social Welfare Information

The Redundancy Information section contains information on the eligibility criteria a person needs to satisfy in order to receive a statutory redundancy payment. This section also includes information on calculating a statutory redundancy and includes the Department's redundancy calculator.

The Social Welfare Information section contains information on:

• The two main unemployment payments, Jobseeker's Benefit and Jobseeker's Allowance
• Secondary benefits
• Social welfare payment rates
