Voluntary Redundancy
Voluntary redundancy happens when an employer is faced with a situation where he requires a smaller work force and asks for volunteers for redundancy. The staff who then volunteer for redundancy are eligible for statutory redundancy provided the fulfill normal conditions.
- There must be a genuine redundancy situation in the first place
