This site provides the key information Trade Union officials and Shop Stewards need to be aware of when there are redundancies. We offer Trade Union representatives the following services and information:
- 'Your Welfare Rights Options' Leaflet for Trade Union representatives to distribute to employees who are about to become unemployed as a result of a redundancy
- Copies of our comprehensive publication 'Working for Work' - which explores welfare, work, education and training options for unemployed people
- Access to our telephone based Welfare to Work information resource
- An INOU Module on Redundancy related information that we can deliver in the workplace or at an alternative suitable location.
The development of this site has been possible as a result of a Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht funded project to assist people who have recently (or are about to) become unemployed through the provision of redundancy related welfare rights information.
A significant part of this project is to work with Trade Union representatives to provide comprehensive information directly to Shop Stewards and Trade Union Officials. We also provide allocation of leaflets that the Trade Union representative can make available to the person who is facing a redundancy situation.
