An important part of the work we do is to liaise with employers where job losses are occuring. We are acutely aware of the impact losing a job can have on individuals. Over the past ten years we have provided key confidential, impartial and up to date information supports to both employers and workers facing redundancy situations. As part of these supports we provide an On-Site Information Presentation.

On-site information presentation

The presentation consists of information on the following areas:

 - Redundancy

 - Back to work options and incentives
 - Education and training options
 - Tax and Redundancy
 - Social Welfare Payments
 - Supports and Services

During each group information session there is an opportunity for questions from the floor. We also provide a one to one opportunity after the group session for individuals to discuss issues they may have in relation to their personal circumstances.

Each employee will recieve a pack  containing detailed information on the subject matter covered (see above) along with copies of all our publications including a hard copy of our book Working For Work, which provides valuable information on options and opportunities in relation to looking for work, returning to work and further education or training, along with relevant information on entitlements and redundancy. The INOU also run a free, confidential and impartial telephone and email based information service should individuals have any further queries that arise after the information session takes place.
